French Onyx and Bronze Mantle Clock - Lot #: 258

Green onyx 19th century mantle clock with figure of a girl reading a book with two books below. Beautiful draping pierced fence on clock to the right with porcelain face with hinged glass door with embossed floral border. Clock has a plaque of a lady in easel pediment with draping embossed flowers. Footstool, horn and tambourine. Green onxy top with scrolled shell, acanthus leaf and floral crest with sepentine gadroon border. Side support are heavily embossed scrolled acanthus leaves with flowers and scrolled feet. Onyx center panel with ormolu over a thick swooping gadroon border resting on capitol form legs and book supports. Embossed Flordi crests with flortal center medallion to center of columns. 16w x 6d x 15 1/2h.
Condition: Not running, face has hairline crack
